In 2-3 years, not many will be hired for superficial properties like experience, skill, or intelligence. AI will be better than us at it. Thus, there is no reason for corporations, labour driven or otherwise, to look for these things in future employees.

Gone will be the days, when people will be asked to sacrifice their health at the alter of monthly billing cycles. Any enterprise that persists in this direction would (and should) be eviscerated by AI.

Do you smoke? Why are you overweight? How often do you lift? How high is your cholesterol? Why can’t you get at least 6 hours of sleep? - currently relegated to the personal sphere, will move to the professional sphere. And stuff like “whats your tech stack”, “what business metrics did you drive” - will become less and less relevant.

Why?

Its simple. The ability of a meat-based computer to drive output consistently has a high corelation to its ability to self-impose high quality health choices.

Moreover, all of us are DONE working with that hyper-anxious manager or colleague. And those of us who have become that hyper-anxious manager or colleague, are begining to realize that we didn’t have the best role models.

For the last two decades, corporate culture (particulary in India) has acted in a way that positions health as a luxury earned pursuant to sacrificing oneself at the altar of the common greed. The next two decades will be very different.
