Do you brush your teeth to brush your teeth? But, you do smoke a cigarette to smoke a cigarette. The difference is, while the former battles tooth decay and oral hygiene, the latter is inherently pointless. The same is true for building product. Does the new feature solve a REAL problem? If YES, then build. If NO, find a REAL problem. Deciding to NOT build a feature adds 10x more value to a product, than agreeing upon a timeline to build for the sake of it. Yes, affability is great, and agreeable people feel awesome to hang out with. But affability, without substance, is "flaffability" - which is not too nice. Don't be flaffable.
