If you're going to do something, do it properly—or don't do it at all. This applies to deciding to NOT do something, as well. If you have decided NOT to smoke, execute NOT doing it, properly—or, you may as well do it. Ironically, the best-attested method of quitting smoking is to go cold turkey. In startup life, we often mistake action for "busyness." Not all "busyness" is action, and not all inaction isn't "busyness." Just like quitting smoking can, require more neurolgical strain than excercise - there will be times, when inaction will require more effort than action. When saying NO to executing great ideas, is more cumbersome, than fixing the CSS of a button. But if you don't persist, all the start up will ever do - would be to accumulate a basket of rotting low hanging fruits. Both action and inaction require execution. Action indicates direction. Inaction indicates focus. Without focus—action can't be meaningful. And without action—focus is pointless. To go fast, action is all you need. But, to go far—distance is all that matters.
