The antidote to ignorance is NOT knowledge, but empathy.

Empathy and knowledge are as different as water and oil.

And 'tactical empathy' is NOT empathy. Tactical empathy is a rebranded form of 'knowledge.'

Knowledge is known or can be known. Empathy is intuitive and can ONLY be intuited.

Empathy is neither tacit nor an express approval or disapproval of anything. For such a thing, by virtue of its purpose, should be in the domain of knowledge.

Empathy has no role in a room full of groupthink. It can only exist if there is scope for definite and passionate disagreement. On the other hand, knowledge flourishes in a room full of groupthink and ceases to exist the moment two people refuse to agree that one plus one is two.

To know, is, what it is. It is simply to hold bits of information in a storage bucket. There is no significance to knowledge beyond this. And it is for this reason AI will kill off 'knowledge workers.'

On the other hand, to empathize is to DISAGREE, yet align. For some, alignment is a challenge, while for others, it is often the lack of disagreeability.
